Senior Alumni Program

Facebook: facebook.com/LipscombUniversityLifelongLearning/

This program for alumni age 55 and older, includes programs such as Lifelong Learning, travel learning, 50th Reunion and the Golden Circle, a program tailored to alumni who have been graduated from the university for 50 or more years.

  • Lifelong Learning
The Lifelong Learning Program offers people of retirement and semi-retirement age an opportunity to expand knowledge and explore new ideas in an informal, non-competitive environment. Learning occurs in a pleasant social atmosphere in classes with one’s peers. There are no exams and no grades or credits. There is no previous educational requirement. Rather, the opportunity exists to interact with friends old and new. This is a time when you may fulfill many of your dreams.

  • Travel Learning Program
Each year, Lipscomb offers several custom-designed travel learning trips primarily for alumni and friends. These trips typically include activities not generally available to the public, such as a recent trip to the Northeast where a noted artist alumnus opened doors to artists’ studios and homes that are not available to the general public. The travel learning program combines with the Lifelong Learning program to offer introductory classroom instruction followed by an experiential professor-guided tour for a deep dive into a specific area of the globe.

  • The Golden Circle
The Golden Circle, the brainchild of the late Robert G. Neil, lovingly known as “Bro. Bob” by most, a 50-year reunion each year with the 50th anniversary class to become members of “The Golden Circle.” The first meeting of the Golden Circle was in August 1980.

The Golden Circle, under the direction of The Golden Circle Strategic Planning Committee, works to strengthen ties to the university and bonds with the current student body and to bring honor to Lipscomb and the Lord through involvement in service learning and meaningful humanitarian projects, especially those that relate to the Great Commission and Matthew 25.
